It was our first experience living on glamping and we enjoyed a lot! The glamping is well equipped, all facilities are clean and modern. There are only 5 yurts on the quite big piece of land, so there are plenty of space between them and you can really sit and relax in the evening, not bothering others. The place is very dog friendly. We will come back

If peace and tranquility is what you want, this is definitely the place to be. The yurt was so cute and cosy, great toilets and shower facilities. We met Jayne the host and she was very friendly, warm and welcoming - We could have chatted for ages - thank you for a lovely stay and despite the weather, there was so much to see x

We had a wonderful 5 night break at Wych Elm Glamping. It’s a peaceful space to let the children run free and we loved sitting out in the evening watching the bats next to the fire pit. The Yurt was cosy and comfortable, we had everything we needed and all facilities we clean and in good order. Jane was friendly, helpful and came up with great suggestions for places to visit locally. Absolutely recommend Wych Elm glamping and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

This truly was an amazing week in a Yurt. It was a step away from busy lifestyles to relaxation. Wych Elm Glamping site is run perfectly. Showers, Toilets, Yurts all immaculately cleaned. Jane was only a text away if you needed help, or you could catch her busying around the site making sure it was ready for the next guests. Cooking on a fire pit was a great experience, the skies are so dark at night, it was great to watch the stars. This dog friendly site is close enough to enjoy the whole of Cornwall, and far enough away to forget everything else going on. It was perfect. I can't wait to go to Wych Elm again and take the rest of my family and Grandchildren. Everything described on the booking page was exactly as I found it, no hidden surprises and worth every penny I spent. If I had to have a negative comment, it would be I only stayed 1 week and not 2 weeks. Jane is a credit to herself for such a perfectly run site

Very disappointing! This absolutely does not meet the expectations we had based on the photos and description on a big booking website. The yurt is completely wrapped in tarpaulin, which made it very stuffy. And it was only 20 degrees when we arrived. It was so cramped that we hurried outside after 1 minute, how must this be when the sun has been shining all afternoon? Furthermore, almost no facilities. The only cooking facilities are a grate over a fire pit, otherwise there is nothing at all to prepare food or to make coffee or tea. Also no pans or other cooking utensils. Outside the yurt is a picnic table with fixed benches, but there is no other seating. If you want to sit and read a book in the evening, you will have to bring your own chair. The shared fridge is a small table fridge that must be shared with all other guests, when we arrived it was completely full. Sanitary facilities are minimal, 1 shower and toilet for the men and 1 shower and toilet for the ladies. We had booked for 4 nights, and it is a mystery to us why this is called Glamping (“a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping”). If you rent a normal tent at a normal campsite through a large organization, you have much more facilities and a better atmosphere in the tent. And that for over €140 per night! When we indicated that we were very disappointed and wanted to leave, we received the response that they have never had any complaints before, no further expression of understanding. So, no money back, not even the cleaning costs and that while we have not used the yurt at all. We have turned around, €580 poorer and with one less illusion.

Spent a week here with my children from 15th August, we loved it so much we're planning to come back next year! It was the perfect break away from our busy town life. Loved the fact it was nice and quiet on that part of the Lizard when other places such as Newquay were so busy. Lots of lovely beaches in walking distance or just a short drive away. We visited so many beautiful places like Kennack Sands, Poldhu, Church Cove, Kynance Cove, Praa Sands, Gwithian, Hayle, Marizion, St Ives and more. The yurt and site was perfect, it had everything we possibly needed, electricity, cooking facilities, showers and toilets, everything very clean and the yurt was lovely and warm through the night, always seemed the perfect temperature never cold. We had nice comfy beds with plenty of room and we paid extra for the bedding pack which all smelt nice a fresh with fabric softener all week. We had a log burner in the yurt which we didn't use as it was warm, but I can imagine in colder weather it would be so cosy. The hosts Jane and Glenn were lovely people, just a text away if we needed anything, this is a really great family run business and we even got to meet their 3 friendly dogs who the kids loved. Full 5 stars from us and we can't wait to come back!!

Stayed for a week and used the fabulous yurt to base ourselves in to explore the Lizard and Helford River. Fantastic location, nice and quiet with beautiful clear nights to watch the stars. Jane and Glenn are the perfect hosts for this perfect location. It's our second time staying at Wych Elm Glamping and it won't be our last, it's amazing 👍

As a single mother to children with additional needs, holidays are something that take precision planning and can be extremely stressful. Wych Elm Glamping is, by far, the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. We stayed in beau the bell tent, and it was honestly such a romantic and homely space. The children described it as “magical” and I’d say their description is pretty spot on! Beau is decorated with beautiful bunting outside the door opening and inside, fairy lights adorn the sides and the doorway. There are 3 beautiful chindi rugs inside and a beautiful elephant decoration. It really does feel like a peaceful and tranquil sanctuary. Inside, there are two bedside tables, a sideboard-esque table and a chest, a foam double sofa bed and two tri fold foam beds. The bedside tables are large wooden cable drum reels and have been hand painted and printed, this adds to the entire ambiance of beau. It honestly is a stunning and beautiful bell tent! On the sideboard table is the welcome pack, explaining everything in detail - from house rules to how to purchase wood for your fire pit. You will find 4 mugs, 4 tumblers, 2 wine glasses, a jar full of 4 sets of cutlery, 4 plates, 4 bowls, bbq tools, a multi use bottle opener and a kettle. Underneath, you have a washing up bowl and dustpan and brush provided. Bedding was provided which I wasn’t at all expecting! Quilts and pillows smelt freshly laundered and still smelt fresh by the time our stay was over, duvet covers were paisley pattern which again, added to the overall theme of Beau and the tranquility of the space. Outside, each camper has a storage lock box. Inside of ours we found two folding garden chairs, which we made good use of. Each camper also has their own picnic bench, bbq fire pit and rotary washing line, pegs included. The amenities consist of two toilets, one male and one female, two showers, 3 sinks and a draining board. There is also a fridge and a shelf that holds cooking pots and pans. Both toilets were spotless, well stocked with toilet paper and always smelt freshly cleaned. An added touch I thought, and one that was a godsend for me, was that there is a little wooden step inside the woman’s toilet to help little ones reach. The showers were spotless and again, always smelt freshly cleaned. Water temperature is adjustable and there is nothing like a steaming hot shower after a day at the beach! Jane, as a host, is amazing! Before we had even arrived we had detailed instructions of how to find the place which I am glad of as my sat nav did try and take me to Jane’s neighbours house… Check in was explained efficiently and we had no problems on arrival. She came and introduced herself to us the next morning and told us not to hesitate if we needed anything and she meant it! Jane was always on hand for anything - whether it be recommendations for places to eat, directions to places or me needing reassurance that the dogs barking in the very far distance wasn’t some sort of rogue attacker haha! Every morning you’d catch Jane cleaning the yurts or the dinky den and replacing bedding and tidying around Wych Elm, you can really see how much love and attention to detail she has for the place. She is also so very approachable and so friendly, you feel like you’re one big family or lifelong friends as opposed to strangers camping on her and glens grounds. Glen also is very approachable and also very attentive to detail at wych elm, making sure all amenities are running smoothly and that nothing needs repairing. They have two dogs that are friendly and extremely patient with children, my toddler absolutely loved both Briggs and PJ and can be very intense. These doggos however, were very patient and loving with him. Overall, I cannot find one fault with Wych Elm. So much so, that this will now be our go to holiday from now on. Every single thing is taken care of for you, the place is immaculate and well run, the attention to detail is phenomenal and the inclusion and friendliness is something I have never experienced before. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a fabulous time in August. The yurt was spacious and beautiful. Jane was the nicest host you could possibly have. Everything worked and was clean and spruce. Our kids loved running around with other kids in other yurts. The walks around the campsite are lovely and the little beach we found was a hidden gem of pristine beauty. I'll never forget it. Thank you! We hope to be back soon.

A gem! What a lovely place, so comfortable and peaceful! Went to a different beach every day, swam in the sea and went for great walks on the beaches and the SW Coastal Path. There are some great cafes and pubs nearby, and cooking at the yurts was a lot of fun. By night it was very peaceful and some great night skies, the stars and milky way were so bright, saw a few meteors too :-)
